It's that time of the year again. The time when I grow increasingly bitter at university and the computer science department.
I came to university for practical knowledge and skills that would allow me to be useful in the workforce, but sometimes all I feel like I'm going to get is a piece of paper.
Only a few weeks left to go...

Miranda is HOT!

Time for a little family boasting! :D
My younger sister is on a basketball scholarship to Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. She's a freshman and got her first start in a game tonight. My family and a couple others were watching and she played a great game.

As you can see from the box score above, she was the game's top scorer with 20 points (from 9/10 shooting), 2 rebounds, 1 block, and 1 assist that the stats keepers failed to credit her for. Anyways, the highlight of the game was when the game announcer declared "Miranda is HOT!" after she scored her fifth bucket (out of five shots in the first half).
I'm proud of you Mircakes. :P :)

Beauty

Dove has a campaign going on regarding beauty and our perception of it. I was aware of this previously but just saw this video on Google Video today: http://video.google.ca/videoplay?docid=-6915842737034217262. I haven't looked into the website at the end of the video nor do I know much about what Dove thinks about human beauty, but I agree with the general idea of the video clip.

The Five Year Plan

I really don't have time for a blog post but here's one anyways.
In the next five years I plan to:

• Finish my Computer Science degree


• Get my CompTIA A+ Certification


• Pay off my credit card debt


• Live for at least 6-12 months outside of North America


• See my bank account at over $X000 dollars and not have to spend it all right away on something (ie: tuition)


• Be [nearly] fluent in Spanish


• Be [nearly] fluent in Korean


• Visit my sister at her University in SoCal at least once


• Do or accomplish something to make my parents really proud of me


• Visit a spanish speaking country


• Be preparing to move to or already live in Vancouver (or another city if it steals Vancity's special place in my heart)


• Have or be on my way towards a decent job in my industry that allows me to enjoy life


• Be twice as good on guitar as I am currently


• Still be able to breakdance


• stay in as good or better physical form

That's all just off the top of my head and in no particular order.
